Net Benefit Formula

Net Benefit = Time Window × (New Income - Old Income) - Recovery Loss - Rewind Cost

Where: • Time Window: Planned playtime (minutes) • New Income: Income after Rewind (Old Income × 2) • Old Income: Current income per second • Recovery Loss: Income lost during recovery period • Rewind Cost: Money cost to Rewind

Rewind Cost Table

1st Rewind: $250 2nd Rewind: $1,000 (2² × 250) 3rd Rewind: $4,000 (2³ × 500) 4th Rewind: $50,000 5th Rewind: $500,000 6+ Rewind: $2,000,000 (maximum cap) Costs increase exponentially with each Rewind.

Recovery Time Calculation

Recovery Time = Current Balance / New Income

After Rewinding, your balance drops to $0. Recovery Time is how long it takes to earn back your previous balance. During this time, you're recovering, not profiting.

Income Multiplier

New Income = Old Income × 2

Each Rewind doubles your income. Multiple Rewinds stack: • 0 Rewinds: 1× income • 1 Rewind: 2× income • 2 Rewinds: 4× income • 3 Rewinds: 8× income

Optimal Strategy Selection

The optimal strategy is the one with the highest Net Benefit. If Net Benefit is negative, Rewinding will lose you money. Shorter playtimes favor fewer Rewinds. Longer playtimes allow more Rewinds to pay off.
